Hi everyone,
Today, I will review an alternate build from one of my favorite designers on Rebrickable : PL MOCs. If you’re not familiar with Rebrickable, it’s a website where talented creators share their designs, either based on existing Lego sets or completely new creations.
Informations
Ground Floor
The ground floor includes a restroom, a dining room, and a kitchen with a large pizza oven. I’m a bit mixed on the dining room; I find the tables and lights a bit lacking, but I really like the gramophone and the painting. The kitchen is nicely detailed, perfect for making pizzas. Outside, at the back, there's a small garden and a removable roof over the toilet. In the front, there’s a small terrace and a staircase leading to the first floor, which adds a lot of volume to the set.
First Floor
To start, there’s a small terrace to build, which leads to the first floor. Inside, there’s a cozy jazz club with just a sofa for seating, giving it an exclusive vibe. There’s also a chimney that connects with the pizza oven, a beautiful sofa, and a nice piece of artwork.
Second Floor
The second floor houses a small sewing workshop with a chimney. The roof is built with bricks, which is an uncommon but interesting choice.
Final Result
The final result is very beautiful. My favorite part is the staircase with the terrace; I love this style of construction as it’s a refreshing change from always having indoor stairs.
Conclusion
If you haven’t explored the world of alternate MOCs, I encourage you to check out Rebrickable, where there are plenty of talented creators. PL MOCs offers a lot of MOCs for Lego modulars as well as other sets like Rivendell (maybe a review on that later?). They often have discounts on instructions, so keep an eye out!
